S355JOWP+N PLATES are extensively used in applications holding resistance superior to conformist grades. These plates seize great elevated temperature properties. Generally, the class of S355JOWP+N considered being weldable by all standard welding process such as fusion and resistance welding. These are weldable with or without filler material. Some factors need to be considered to prevent weld hot cracking by ensuring of ferrite in the weld deposit area.

Particularly, these have good weldability. These plates require light arc welding feed to avoid cracking. These plates have enhanced chloride resistance. This allows using of plates in marine environments where the pitting corrosion is a concern that contains the high level of chlorides.

When welding operations, it allows reducing the risk of intergranular corrosion resistance caused by chromium carbide precipitate. These are heat treated to achieve desired mechanical properties and physical attributes than it is rapidly quenched with water or air.

After manufacturing, these are processed for industrial finishing process to attain higher dimensional accuracy and surface finish. Furthermore, these are coated SATIN and bright black polish to prevent oxidation in the untreated zone.
