A brief description of the alloy 304/304L-

Alloy 304L SS is an extra low carbon version of alloy 304. The low carbon content in this alloy reduces deleterious carbide precipitations resulting of welding. 304L can easily be used at the severe corrosion atmosphere and it reduces annealing needs. The grade is having mechanical properties a little bit lower than the other grade but is still versatile in nature. Type 304 SS is used in winemaking and beer brewing and in mining, chemical containers etc.
