inconel-600

Inconel 600® – UNS N06600,Werkstoff Nr. 2.4816,Inconel 600®, Nickelvac® 600, Ferrochronin® 600

Inconel Alloy 600 is a nonmagnetic nickel-based alloy that offers high-temperature strength comparable to 18-8 alloys. Inconel 600 is known for resisting a variety of corrosive organic and inorganic substances making it ideal for the chemical processing, food processing, and jet engine industries.

Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium alloy used for applications that require corrosion and high temperature resistance. This nickel alloy was designed for service temperatures from cryogenic to elevated temperatures in the range of 2000° F

Alloy 600 is appropriate for nuclear, furnace and chemical-treatment components, including steam generators, superheaters, and electronic parts.

Characteristics

  • good resistance to oxidation, carburisation and nitriding
  • good resistance to stress corrosion cracking, at both room and elevated temperatures
  • good resistance to dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride
  •  good mechanical properties at sub-zero, room and elevated temperatures
